Artists of South Whidbey President Gaylen Whitman presented Island Arts Council members Don Wodjenski and Frank Rose with a $1,350.00 check for the Artist in Residence Program at Tuesday’s ASW meeting.

The AIR program provides artists presenting Fine Arts programs to children in the classrooms of Whidbey Schools. This community fund presentation was made possible though a generous donation made by the family of long time ASW member Carolyn Stancik and through the sale of ASW Cards. Local businesses carrying ASW Community Fund cards include: Casey’s Arts & Crafts in Bayview, Bayview Farm & Garden, Callahan’s Firehouse in Langley, and Ace Hardware in Freeland. We wish to thank them for helping ASW support  Fine Arts in Whidbey schools.
