Do you love the sound of brass instruments? Do you think you love the sound of brass instruments? If you’re 100% sure or just interested in finding out, this is the concert for you! Come see “Brass and Bones (Not Sticks and Stones)” at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 26 and Saturday, Feb. 27. Hear trumpets, french horns, trombones and a tuba compete for first prize in your heart, playing music by Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Debussy, Gabrieli, Bach, Haydn, Holst, Vaughn Williams and others.
Whidbey Island musicians and guests perform, including Joan LaRue and Gordon Ullmann (trumpet); Sean Brown and Jeff Jacobson (horn); Stuart Hambley, Caroline Harbitz and Larry Heidel (trombone), Andy Abel (tuba); Kathy Fox and Eileen Soskin (piano). Who could ask for anything more?
