Chanteuse, a Whidbey Island non-profit community Women’s Choir, will perform a collaborative concert at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 24 and at 4 p.m. on Sat., Oct. 25. The program will feature Dana Moffatt’s group, “Sarungano,” which plays music of Zimbabwe and well-known world storyteller, Jill Johnson, who will enthrall us with stories from Japan and Uganda.
Choir members will sing songs from nine different world cultures including Brazil, Norway, Italy and Japan. Plan to join us at Trinity Lutheran Church for this wonderful program. As always, Chanteuse donates all profits from performing to charities that support women. This program’s charity is “Matanho,” a Zimbabwean charity that provides small loans to women who wish to start their own business.
