Good Cheer’s Chair-ity Online Auction is going strong with over 25 chairs, sketches and a beautiful painting of chairs and continuing online until Sept. 30. The chairs are available to view in the Good Cheer Thrift Stores.

Members of our community have stepped forward to upcycle chairs into functional and decorative pieces of local art. You can bid on everything from a doll-sized/handmade “Summertime at Chair-ity Beach” to the Celebration Chair “Will You Marry Me?” that honors the Supreme Court decision to acknowledge all marriages.

If you don’t have room for a chair but you do want to support the cause, Sue VanEtten and Phyllis Ray have donated sketches and a beautiful painting of a chair at Good Cheer. We love the support from our local artists and hope you will honor their efforts by bidding once, then bidding often.

To see the chairs and art online, go to: The funds will benefit the Good Cheer Food Bank, where families in need can find nutritious food choices to sustain them in their time of need.
