Spend an afternoon with the Baroque masters at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 26 at St. Augustine-in-the-Wood, 527 S. Honeymoon Bay Road  in Freeland.

This early music program runs the gamut from the mournful but intense six-part fugue of Bach’s inspired Musical Offering to the sweetness of Albinoni’s Oboe Concerto in d, Opus 9 No 2, the glorious streaming of Bach’s motet, “Lobet den Herrn, alle Heiden” to his Orchestral Suite no 3, including the rousing trumpets AND the heart-warming Air on a G-string.

Soloists will be Frances Kenney, oboe and Gloria Ferry-Brennan, violin. A suggested donation is $20/Adult, $10/Youth and will be accepted at the door. Island Consort is an umbrella partner of Whidbey Island Arts Council, a 501C3 not-for-profit organization.
