Langley Street Dance
Clyde Alley Sculpture Archway Unveiling
Remember when Langley had a street dance with local bands and everyone was there? Langley is getting back its roots, offering a street dance with Janie Cribbs & The T. Rust Band and Rusty Fender & the Melody Wranglers from 7 – 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 9.
The dance will be held at the 2nd Street Plaza at Callahan’s Firehouse. Lots of local food and pub businesses will be open offering fare for the evening including a BBQ at the SW Commons, food and drink at Useless Bay Coffee Company, and many more.
The official ribbon cutting of the new Clyde Alley Sculpture Archway will be held before the dance at 6:30 pm. The sculpture, “Inferred,” created by artists Milo White and Lin McJunkin is a project of the Langley Arts Council. Mayor Tim Callison and Chairman Frank Rose will be on hand along with the artists, who will offer a demonstration of their process and answer questions about the work.
Come join a great evening of celebration and community sponsored by the City of Langley, Chamber of Commerce and Main Street.
