Garry Oak Gallery is pleased to welcome new member Marie Thornton, a painter from Freeland, WA. She has been painting in oils, acrylics, charcoal and pastels for a number of years.

Her paintings are usually landscapes or waterscapes which can include people, boats, buildings and creatures such as birds.

Thornton paints scenes that depict a glimpse of the awe and appreciation she feels and the peace that she finds when opening her eyes to see the beauty of creation. Her paintings are of the world as seen through her eyes, clear and peaceful.
