Open Figure Studio/Spring session continues

Calling all art enthusiasts who like to draw from live models! You are invited to the Whidbey Island Fine Art Studio Drawing & Painting Open Studio, Spring 2014 sessions.

Location and Time: All sessions will be held in the Burrier Building at the Island County Fairgrounds in Langley on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Dates: April 19 and 26, May 3 and 10

I am aware that we are heading into a holiday weekend, so I’d like to have an idea of how many people are interested in attending to make sure we have enough participants. Please let me know in advance if you would like to come draw with us this Saturday, May 19.

Optional private instruction by Toby Hall, teacher and figurative artist is available. Toby lives on Whidbey Island and in France where he teaches at Studio Escalier ( The cost for instruction by Toby is $35 per person for 3 ½ hours with a minimum of four participants.

Fees: The cost of the live model session without instruction will be $18 per session or $15 if paying for more than one session at a time. Fees may be paid in cash or by check. Bring your own drawing board and art supplies. Easels, drawing horse benches and palette tables are available. Tea and refreshments are provided during breaks.
