Whidbey Island singer/songwriter, actor and professional cook, Jim Castaneda, performs his music on the Michael Nutt Mainstage at WICA at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 21 as part of their Local Artist Series.

This unique performance will feature songs from Jim’s debut solo album, ‘Beatbox Soul,’ a groovy and eclectic mix of some of Original Jim’s most recent work. This modern one-man band creates live multi-looped full-form musical arrangements of his repertoire, utilizing his guitar, voice, natural sense of rhythm and the ancient art of vocal percussion (beatbox), to present an aural spectacle that has genuinely never been heard before.

The Local Artist Series fosters local talent by giving the artists free rental, marketing and production assistance for their concerts, allowing performers to collect the profits on ticket sales for the evening.
