The annual Welcome the Whales Day Festival and Parade drew an enthusiastic crowd in Langley on Saturday, April 19. Beginning around 1:30 p.m., the parade route wound through downtown from Cascade and along First Street, ending at the Whale Bell Park. The ceremony welcoming the whales included a Native American prayer, music and singing.
