In this amazing opportunity to work with internationally published author Amber Kizer, students will be able to take their ideas from the beginning stages, to constructing characters and plot, to emerging with a cohesive script for a one-act play! The class will end with actual performances of excerpts from students’ works on stage before shows of “The Little Mermaid” this Spring.
The workshop, appropriate for students in grades six through 12, runs from Monday, Feb. 24 through April 27, with classes to be held on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 3:45 to 5:30 p.m. Tuition if $150 and scholarships are available.
Designed to be a fun and low-pressure first foray into playwriting, this is perfect for teens with ideas and at any level of writing skill.
Amber Kizer is a published author of seven young adult novels with Delacorte Press/Random House. Visit her website to read more about the author!
