Pruning for High Yield Fruit Production Class on February 28

Gary Ingram is leading a fruit tree pruning class from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 28 at the South Whidbey Tilth Sustainability Campus. The first part is a classroom presentation about the best times to prune different types of trees, organic pest and disease control, fertilization, tree selection for maximum fruit production and tree health.

Bring pruning tools for a hands-on experience in the orchard and the Tilth Community Garden. Dress for the weather. Hot beverages are available.
