Whidbey Island residents will have three opportunities this Christmas season to experience the timeless classic of Sergei Prokofiev’s “Peter and the Wolf” as performed by Saratoga Orchestra under the direction of Anna Edwards, conductor. Written in 1936, the story of Peter, his grandfather, and countless animals has been cherished for generations through multiple translations and adaptations. Local favorite, David Ossman, will bring the story to life through narration.
Saratoga Orchestra’s fun and unique Instrument Petting Zoo (IPZ) precedes each concert. This is your chance to get up-close and personal with the instruments of the orchestra. The IPZ is for the young and young-at-heart.
