In September a crowd of over a hundred people showed up to hear about plans for South Whidbey at Home, a nonprofit intergenerational mutual support system for members aged 55+ and volunteers of all ages being developed for South Whidbey.

That meeting provided the vision. Now let’s talk specifics. You’re invited to SW@Home’s second public meeting at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, at The Clyde Theatre. Get up-to-date on the organization’s speedy progress, and hear how an aging-in-community organization like this actually works.

Special guest Janice Dilworth, Founding Director of Seattle’s Phinney Ridge Village (a program based on the same model as SW@Home) will give us a preview of coming attractions with real-life examples of the benefits of this approach to both members and volunteers.
