The third Annual South Whidbey Edible Book Festival, held Sunday, March 29 at Bayview Hall, pulled in an enthusiastic group of bibliophiles and gastrophiles. Whidbey Life Magazine photographer Martha McCartney attended and captured a few photos of participants and observers, plus a few “patient” kids waiting for votes to be tallied so the edible entries could be sampled.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the South Whidbey Parks & Aquatics Foundation to help Healthy Island Youth Initiative (HIYA), which provides opportunities for area youth to participate in sports and other physical activities.
