Local son, Brian Moote, comes home to play the 10 p.m. Friday, July 5 show at “Club Clyde,” better known as the movie house, the Clyde Theatre, in Langley.
You may have seen him on MTV’s “Money from Strangers” or on the Moote Comedy YouTube channel, but if you’ve never experienced the stand-up magic of Moote live, now’s your chance – at least if you can stay up past 10 p.m. the night before Choochokam kicks off.
Moote will be accompanied by some MTV friends who will open for him at Club Clyde. His own set will be very conversational, using a lot of improvisation, and focusing on both his current life and on growing up on Whidbey. He may even have a story about you. (We know we have a few about him!)
All seats are $10. Tickets will go on sale at the box office of The Clyde at 8 p.m. for the 10 p.m. show. Spend the intervening hours enjoying a glass of wine or beer or a dessert in Langley and make a night of it. Moote and friends will be wandering from one hot spot to another before the show, so be sure to say “hi.”
