Whidbey Island, don’t miss your last chance to see the Pulitzer Prize winner,  “Crimes of the Heart” by Beth Henley at Whidbey Island Center for the Arts in Langley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 22 or closing night, Saturday, Feb.23.

Director Rose Wood’s production is everything you want from the theater experience: a script with plenty of comedic and tragic twists and turns, actors who throw themselves in for truth and Southern charm and come up hilarious, an evocative set by David Gignac and colorful costumes by Valerie Johnson, and staging that works to make certain the whole experience is entertaining and provocative.

This is a best bet for a light-hearted, poignant and laugh-out-loud evening in the theater.
