The Lost Vaurnets are back!

The beloved rockin’ Whidbey Island band will reunite on Saturday, Aug.10 for the Street Dance at Mukilteo Coffee Roasters. The concert will benefit the South Whidbey Children’s Center and includes a silent auction.

The South Whidbey Children’s Center offers full day and morning programs for children 12 months to five years, and before-and-after school-care programs for school aged children. The center has played a vital role in the South Whidbey community for more than 30 years and continues to be on the forefront of early learning. The philosophy of the school is that children are competent and curious learners and should be engaged with active learning opportunities. The low teacher-child ratio encourages children to develop trusting relationships with adults and allows teachers to facilitate children’s social-emotional development. Children have access to a variety of materials with which they acquire meaningful knowledge and develop an understanding of the natural world around them.

For more information about the school’s programs, call 360-221-4499.

Proceeds from the street dance and auction will benefit the center. Tickets are $25 and are available at Brown Paper Tickets.

Doors open at 6 p.m, with music from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Food and wine will be available for purchase.

This is not a child friendly event; please call the SW Children’s Center, at 360-221-4499 for a list of event babysitters.
