Whidbey Island was once a thriving chicken-producing community and that enthusiasm for poultry is rebounding today. Chickens and other livestock are growing in popularity. To showcase some of the diverse ways we care for our feathered friends, Rockn’Doodle 4H Poultry Club is hosting the sixth annual Whidbey Island Chicken Coop Tour.

So save The Date: Saturday, April 18 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tickets are $12, which will admit all children and up to four adults in one vehicle.

Rockn’Doodle 4-H Poultry Club is an Island County 4H club open to kids ages 5-18. Proceeds from this event help the club’s community education efforts, barn improvements at the Whidbey Island Fairgrounds and maintenance of 4H in Island County.

Buy tickets beginning April 1 at Bayview Farm & Garden and Skagit Farmers Supply Country Stores at their Freeland and Oak Harbor locations.
