The end for WhidbeyAir has come. It is with great sadness, and many memories, that we announce we will go off air on Thursday, Dec. 31.
It’s been a blast in so many ways. It was a big idea and every volunteer who’s given their time and creative juices has done so with generosity. We’ve made new friends and laughed with old ones, and we’re sorry to be closing the studio.
To all those who’ve supported the station with financial contributions, we’ve loved and appreciate you every day and will continue to do so! You made it all possible!
To those who’ve donated in-kind equipment, volunteered to help with the equipment and other wise given us time and energy in technology, thank you. So many of us are not techies and your help was invaluable.
Here’s to all those who’ll carry on with new projects and areas to put your creative energy. All of your fellow volunteers are here and cheering you on!
Hosts will cease production of their shows Tuesday, Dec. 1. We are so sad, but hopeful for the future. Our podcasting hosts will continue to do so from the comfort of their own homes.
If you have any questions please email feedback@kwparadio.org.
THANKS TO ALL OF WHIDBEY! From Clinton to Deception Pass Whidbey is the best!
To all of our off-island and out of state (and country) listeners, thanks for streaming in, for contributing and for liking what we were doing! Keep listening through the end of the year!
